Behind the Design
The inspiration for the Line Chair came from a single challenge. The challenge was to design a chair with the absolute simplest form possible. To design-in all the necessary functions of a comfortable low lounge chair, but without all the visual clutter of distinct separate features like arms, legs, seat pan, seat back, and accompanying hardware. The result is a form that derives its shape from a single line drawn on a piece of paper. The Line Chair is simple, pure, and modern.

Can the chair be filled for additional weight?
Yes, the Line Chair can be filled with water for in-pool use (prevents bouyancy), instructions can be found here. In addition, a substrate like pebbles or sand can be added for additional weight out of water.

Yes, this chair is tough enough to THRIVE in high-traffic commercial and hospitality environments. It is made using the same material and manufacturing process as a white water kayak, making it one of the most durable chairs on the market.

Absolutley, this chair is a perfect option for sunshelf, baja shelf, or beach-entry pool chair. It is made of a polyetheylene resin which is completely waterproof. We recommend use in 8" of water or less. Instructions for How to Fill can be found here.

The premium polyethylene resin is inherently UV-Stable, plus we add an additional UV protection additive making it strong enough for harsh sun environments. Our furniture is currently thriving in places like Utah, Caribbean, and on rooftops in Arizona.

"I bought two chairs, one of them is okay the other was missing two of the six screws that hold the bottom hatch in place. I bought a pack of stainless steel screws and when I started to install them I found out the holes were stripped out. So one of my chairs only has four screws in place. Hopefully it doesn’t make any difference."

Work fine in deeper water
"Love our Ivory Line Chairs. Our Baja Shelf is 13” deep and they work fine although the deeper depth wasn’t recommended. We just filled them completely in deeper water to evacuate all air before putting them on the shelf. The small drainage holes on the bottom help equalize the water height inside, and they haven’t moved. We were only disappointed in the shipping time. We ordered on May 10th and didn’t receive them until May 26th, missing Memorial Day Weekend and our pool party. Overall we are happy with the product."

- Hi Jeff, thanks for your interest in our Line Chair. Our chairs were designed with use on a pool baja / sun shelf in mind. Also where is the hatch located(send pic), how much water will it hold and does filling the hatch with water keep it from floating?
